toss

Flick a ball off your screen. It lands on a friend's Mac.

Grab the ball, flick it toward the edge of your display, and it leaves. A moment later it rolls onto the screen of whoever you tossed it to, carrying the speed you gave it.

There is no message attached and no way to add one. All you get is that somebody threw it. At dusk the doors close and the ball stays wherever it landed until morning, which turned out to be the detail that makes people keep it running.

How to use it

Nothing to install yet. toss needs two Macs and a relay running between them to be worth anything.

Swift at both ends with a small Cloudflare worker in the middle. The repo stays private until the relay is something I would leave running unattended.
